Raylan made to jump from the written page onto the screen when Graham Yost created the Justified FX television series on, based on the Elmore Leonard short story Fire in the Hole. I would recommend, if you haven't already, to read Pronto, Riding the rap and Fire in the hole (in that order). Raylan/Tim graphic scenes of sex and violence in later chapters, rated for safety. Even if this book and justified have a slight contradiction to fire in the hole. The first novel that Elmore published in the series featuring the lead character Givens was “Pronto”, which was published in 1993 to much popularity and critical acclaim.
